Barriers to female leadership

"...A problem noted with the data sources found was that most previous research seemed to be on women in a gender-specific context but not as women who were parenting their children without a partner.  These types of literature covered worklife of women but no literature on single parent women.  Even though it focused on part of this research aims of the barriers to women obtaining management roles but the aspects of this research’s aims of women parenting singly seems to not be specifically addressed by authors.  However these gender-biased work cultures and attitudes discussed in all this literature would assumingly affect lone-parent females but the actual effects were needed to be analysed.  So more literature was evaluated and reviewed in a broader area...."(© Saldeba,N.)
